Martin Edward Galvin Fund for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Research

Why the University of Michigan?

There are only a few medical centers around the world that offer comprehensive programs for diagnosing, treating and studying the many forms of pulmonary fibrosis.  The University of Michigan is one of them, thanks to its internationally known Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.  The physicians and researchers at U-M publish a greater number of research findings annually on IPF than any other medical research institution and have more investigators with an interest in IPF.  The National Institute of Health was providing funding for research but that is no longer sufficient enough, therefore donor support is crucial to help in this fight.
