Quest for Breath Support Group for patients with IPF

The Quest for Breath IPF Support Group was established in 2008 through funds from Quest for Breath.  Monthly support group meetings are professionally facilitated and provide comprehensive information and support to those living with IPF and their family members.

Meetings feature guest speakers, usually U-M faculty and staff, providing the most current medical information on topics of particular concern to IPF patients and caregivers.  Recent presentation topics include: Lung Transplantation, Supplemental Home Oxygen, Nutrition and IPF, Writing Your Life Story, Advance Care Planning, and Managing Breathlesness.

Meetings are informal and accessible to all people living with IPF, the meetings allow time for open discussion among attendees.  In this way, attendees identify needs, share concerns and propose topics for future informational presentations.

The Quest for Breath has become a caring community of support for individuals living with IPF and their loved ones.  We welcome new members, provide connection, support, and information.
